Use the flowers to garnish salads. The seeds and the flower buds, when preserved in vinegar, are used like capers.

Landscaping

 

The nasturtiom is in bloom all summer, up until the first frost. This plant can be: creeping, dwarf or semi-dwarf, bear single or double flowers.

 

The denser, more compact type of nasturtiom can be planted in rockeries. The creeping type is best suited for trellis, or along a metallic wire. They can be planted in pots, balcony boxes and hanging baskets.
