Harvest

 

Cut the stems in mid june for preserves. Pick the leaves before blooming starts, and the seeds at the end of summer.

Conservation

 

The leaves and the roots can be dried. Preserve the stems. Store the seeds in a cool, dry place.

Culinary use

 

Use the chopped leaves, combined with mint, to flavour a mayonnaise. Use the preserved stems in pastry-making.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Landscaping

 

The plant produces crimson colored, umbeled flowers.

 

 

Very nice edging plant because of it's globular umbels. Because of it's height, it may hide other background plants.
